Yuki, otherwise known as Gnyuki Torimaru, was born in Japan and studied architecture before starting out in textile engineering. It was due to this talent and affinity for fabric that he found work at Louis Féraud and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he created his own label, with dramatic, often Grecian-inspired designs which had incredible drape and which showed his genius for working with textiles through elegant pleating creating such amazing fullness in luxurious synthetic jerseys and chiffons.
