Haute Couture Brown Silk Chiffon Gown, 1970s
A breathtaking and incredibly rare vintage evening dress from the 70s by legendary French couturier and luxury fashion designer Louis Feraud for his haute couture label. True haute couture, this dress would have been made in Feraud's Paris atelier and is completely and impeccably constructed by hand.
In a sheer brown silk chiffon on the bodice backed with a further, fine nude silk chiffon which retains a slight sheerness but offers a flattering coverage to the skin underneath and allows for a versatile look, in which the wearer can have a slip dress, underwear or nothing underneath. The long flowing, full maxi length skirt is in an opaque bias cut silk satin with incredible drape, matching the satin details on the bust with silk chiffon insets. This is lined with a further brown chiffon. Perfect for a formal party or a red carpet event. Fastens at the back with bridal style buttons.
