Men's Brown Velvet Blazer Jacket, 1970s
A rare 1970s vintage Angelo Litrico brown velvet wide lapels blazer jacket. Legendary in Italy, Litrico was awarded a Grand Officer Order of Merit in 1968 for services to fashion, which included dressing world leaders on both sides of the cold war - including John F Kennedy, Eisenhower, the King of Jordan and he even designed the infamous shoes Khrushchev banged on the desk.
It is easy to see why so many important men were attracted by Litrico's designs, cool and simple this blazer is in a sumptuous brown velvet with wide peaked lapels adding a flair. Keeping the rest of the jacket quite simple, with a classic single breasted design and patch pockets, making it perfect for dinner or evening wear but could easily be dressed down in the day.
