Heavily Beaded Green Backless Gown, A/W 1998
A stunning vintage maxi evening gown from the 1990s by luxury Italian fashion label, Genny. In a pastel green net fabric with a pale green, fine, bias cut pure silk lining and intricate bead work and sequins throughout creating a glamorous look that would be perfect for a formal party or red carpet event. With a flowy, long slip dress style and a gathered design at the back to give opulent movement when walking. The spaghetti straps add a delicate feminine touch and are embellished with seed beads and highlight the very deep plunging back, which adds loads of sex appeal.
Genny was a label legendary for their beaded dresses, throughout the 90s always showing heavily embellished gowns at the end of their shows and this dress was the penultimate piece in Genny's autumn winter 1998 collection. Genny was founded in 1962 by Arnaldo and Donatella Girombelli and were known for their luxurious designs. They worked with legendary designers such as Gianni Versace became the creative director in 1973 then becoming replaced by Christian Lacroix and Guy Paulin. Part of the Genny label was also the Byblos line which created more casual designs.

Excellent Vintage Condition - Most minor bead loss, if any, nothing that catches the eye. Very faint mark to lining, not seen when worn. No noticeable stains, tears or holes.
