Brown Wool Broad Pinstripe Skirt Suit, 1960s
An incredibly chic vintage two piece ensemble from the 60s by legendary British Carnaby Street boutique, Marion Foale & Sally Tuffin, who along with the likes of Mary Quant were responsible for the British Invasion, bringing mod fashion to the US in what was known as the "Youthquake" tours. In a brown wool with bold geometric stripes which create almost chevron effects at the side panels.
Consists of an A line mini skirt and a matching jacket that has puff sleeves, a fitted waist which flares out subtl creating an almost peplum style and pointed lapels typical of sixties British fashion. With lots of designs by Foale & Tuffin in the Victoria and Albert museum, this is perfect for collectors.
